Oh, Boy!

Well, I have been trying to convince Lexi for some time to have her ears pierced. So, I took the kids to Claire's the other day to show her the earrings and there was a little girl there who was going to have her ears pierced. We stayed and watched and Lexi still wasn't convinced that this is a good thing. So we go to leave and Dani starts to cry. I ask her what is wrong and she informs me that she wants pretty princess ears...I tell her no, she is to little. I go to call Jason and tell him thinking he is going to laugh...he says well you should do it, she wants it. I call my sister she sees nothing wrong. Nobody could find a reason why my baby couldn't have her ears pierced. So the next day I take the kids back, still trying to convince Lexi. She still says no, but Dani is very adamant that she wants it done. So I set her up in the chair and she seems comfortable, we call the gal over. She sets stuff up, explaining stuff to both Dani and I. Dani is comfortable, I am sitting there thinking I am nuts!! The gal puts the piercer up to her ear, pierces Dani's ear, dabs some sol'n onto the ear and we both grab the mirror. Dani looks in the mirror and says, "ooh pretty princess ears, lets do the other!" So she gets everything set and we do the other, she doesn't flinch again, dab the sol'n on, show Dani the mirror and she says, "ooh I show Daddy." Then she hops out of the chair and is all excited. SHE DID NOT CRY! The gal at the store says to me, " I think you may want to watch her, she could be a bit of a dare devil!" I am thinking, "no, really!" So, here are Dani's new earrings (which I did let her pick out.)

She is saying "cheese", still hasn't figured out that when you say cheese you are suppose to smile.

Kind of hard to see the earrings but a nice picture of her smiling, at least.
By the way, Lexi still isn't convinced. Instead of waiting until she is five, she now tells me maybe six or ten. We will see.
