A Smart Cookie...

I made brats/ hot dogs and mixed vegetables tonight for supper. Typically this is a quick meal to make and not difficult for me to get the kids to eat. Typically. Brevon would NOT eat the last 2 bites of his hot dog or his last three pieces of broccoli. I sat with him through the hot dog eating process but then went out to the deck to make smores over the grill. Jason come home from work and I asked him to go in and help Brevon finish up his supper. Jason talked to him and I turned around and saw him chewing and no broccoli on his plate. I was elated!! I praised my child and Jason praised his son and I gave him a smore. I continued to make smores. When I was done I went inside to clean up supper. This is the first thing I went to clear off of my table. His cup:


I did ask him to "clean his plate", next time I will have to specify that he needs to "eat his supper". We did make him finish his cold, wet broccoli. We are such mean parents!!

Jason thinks he is Harvard material, Uncle Andy thinks we should be able to retire early!!
