So this is Cooper, he is Bruin's full brother and is really finding his place in our family.

We are NUTS!
We have flipped our lids and now officially have THREE dogs in our house. Bruin, our 6 month old cocker spaniel has had two episodes of cluster seizuring. Which basically means that he seizures and then keeps on seizuring until meds are administered for a long enough period of time. Then he stops. The first time, one month ago, the doctor in charge of his case said that it was probably epilepsy, but we couldn't rule out a toxin. Now that it has happened exactly one month later, we know that it is epilepsy. The doctors recommended another course of treatment with a different combination of drugs. We were unsure what to do, I have kept in contact with the breeder throughout all of this. She informed me yesterday that she wanted to replace Bruin no matter what. We could either keep Bruin or return or euthanize him. If we return him, she will euthanize him. Neither Jason nor I were ready to deal with this yet. We decided to keep Bruin and see how he does, but also pick up our replacement dog so he can start becoming use to the kiddos.

You aren't crazy at all! Dogs are like kids, once you've had one, the ones that follow are much easier to deal with. There are days I would rather a house full of dogs than a house full of kids.
I hope Bruin responds to his meds and you have many yrs of love from him!
By the way, love his name... ;)
You aren't nuts at all! I think the more dogs, the merrier.
By the way, I love his name! ;)
